Every program and price is on our plans and pricing page.
Why professional training is essential for Auburn dog owners
Behavior modification
Address jumping, pulling, barking, anxiety, and reactivity at the root, not just the symptom.
Safety & control
A dog that listens the first time is a safer dog around traffic, livestock, wildlife, and people.
Stronger bond
Clear communication builds trust, so your dog looks to you for direction instead of guessing.
Skills that transfer
We hand the training over to you at pickup, so the obedience keeps working at home.
Family harmony
A calm, well-mannered dog means a calmer home for kids, guests, and other pets alike.
Our dog training programs for Auburn dogs

Board & train
Your dog boards with a pro trainer and trains every day, then you get a one-on-one handoff session before they come home.

- Off-leash recall around real distractions
- Daily updates while your dog is with us
Reactive & aggressive dogs
A two-week board and train built for dogs that react to other dogs, animals or people.
- Obedience as the foundation
- Desensitization to the dog's triggers

Built for how Auburn dogs actually live
Auburn is the DeKalb County seat and the Home of the Classics, with the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and a downtown that draws visitors. Busy sidewalks are exactly where a dog that pulls, jumps or barks at everything turns a walk into a wrestling match.
Eckhart Park, Memorial Park and the other parks around town are good places to take a trained dog, and good places to find out that your dog is not quite trained yet. We deliberately train around distractions like these, because obedience that only works in the kitchen is not much use on a busy sidewalk.
The drive is the practical question for Auburn families, which is why the board and train is often the simplest choice. With the board and train your dog boards with a trainer and trains every day, and you get a one-on-one handoff session at pickup so you know exactly how to keep it going at home.
Where your dog will shine
- Downtown Auburn’s sidewalks
- Eckhart Park
- Memorial Park
- The DeKalb County Fairgrounds area
- Visitors and the front door at home
Brooke Forsyth-Zeller grew up in the Fort Wayne area and graduated from Northrop High School. Before training full time she spent four years fostering for rescues and placed more than 60 dogs in new homes.
She joined Off Leash K9 Training of Fort Wayne as a trainer, then took over the location. Today she and her team train dogs from across Allen County and Northeast Indiana, and she or one of her trainers is the person you will actually meet.

What our clients say
“We did the two week board and train program for our large breed dog, Bingo. … We received picture and video updates of his progress almost every day. … When we picked Bingo up after the two week training, it was like we got a whole new dog! He listened, he didn’t jump, he walked right next to us in a heel.”
“Leah was extremely professional, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. … Both of our dogs came back with noticeably improved behavior, and we’re so grateful for the positive transformation.”
“Brooke corrected every bad habit he had in a one week board and train, now he comes right to me when called, keeps all four paws on the ground when he greets people, and has the best door manners, just to name a few.”
Frequently asked questions
How far is your training base from Auburn?
About 35 minutes. We are at 124 Lincoln Hwy W in New Haven, around 30 miles from Auburn by road, just east of Fort Wayne. Visits are by appointment.
Is board and train worth it if we live in Auburn?
For a lot of Auburn families it is the most practical option, because it means two drives in total instead of one for every lesson. Your dog boards with a pro trainer and trains every day, and the 2 Week Board & Train ends with a 2-hour one-on-one handoff session.
Do you come out for lessons, or do we come to you?
Lessons are by appointment, and we set the location with you when you book. We often pick a place your dog has never been, on purpose: a dog that learns to listen somewhere unfamiliar, with real distractions, listens everywhere. See the obedience lessons for what each package covers.
How old does my dog have to be?
Our e-collar lessons start at five and a half months. Call us and we will tell you what fits your dog.
What does training cost, and are payment plans available?
Lessons start at $700 for four private lessons, the 2 Week Board & Train is $2,500, and every program is listed on our plans and pricing page. Payment plans are available. Call us today to learn more about payment options.
