Murphy's Story: Still the Same Sweet Boy, With a Lot More Confidence

His family worried about what two weeks away would do to a soft, sweet dog. He came home the same dog, only surer of himself.

Where Murphy started

Murphy's family calls him a "melt your heart sweet boy." They wanted him to learn good manners and commands that would make life more fun for him and for them, and keep him safer.

What they did not want was to lose the dog they loved in the process. That worry is one we hear often before a board and train.

The training journey

Murphy spent two weeks in our board and train program with Brooke, our owner and head trainer. His family wrote that they could feel her love for animals, and that she treated Murphy like one of her own, with a lot of love and praise built into his training.

One of their favorite parts was the daily update. Brooke texted them every single day with pictures and videos of how he was doing. They said it was a comfort to see how happy he was.

What actually changed

  • His confidence went way up. His family's words: his confidence and self-esteem "have sky rocketed."
  • He came home with manners and commands. The skills they sent him to learn came home with him.
  • He is still Murphy. The sweet dog they dropped off is the dog they picked up.

★★★★★

“We just picked up our dog Murphy after a 2 week board and train program with “Off Leash K9 Training Fort Wayne!” To say we are amazed at the change in our pup would be an understatement! He is still the melt your heart sweet boy he was when we brought him there but his confidence and self esteem have sky rocketed! […] Oh and one of our favorite things is Brooke texted us every single day with an update on how he was doing, including pictures and videos!”

What it changed for his family

They picked Murphy up and wrote their review right away. "To say we are amazed at the change in our pup would be an understatement," they said. The skills he came home with make him safer and make everyday life easier for everyone in the house.

Why Murphy's story matters to us

Training should never flatten a dog's personality. Murphy's family noticed that he was both better behaved and more himself, and that is exactly what we aim for at Off Leash K9 Training of Fort Wayne.

Before and after

Murphy went into a two week board and train with Brooke as a sweet, gentle dog and came home the same dog with far more confidence, plus the manners and commands his family wanted. They got photos and videos every day.

Murphy did our two week board and train. You can see what each program covers and costs on our prices page, and meet Brooke on our About page.
